Seton Hall Baseball Player Suffers Freak Injury After Hitting Home Run

A college baseball player's season ended on Friday in a flash.

Seton Hall's Justin Ford had just hit a game-changing home run, celebrating with his team before an audible gasp erupted from the crowd.

While rounding first base, Justin Ford landed on his ankle and suffered a gruesome lower-leg injury.

Amid questions about whether the home run would stand because Ford didn’t touch every base, an injury allowed Seton Hall to send in a pinch runner to complete the circuit and count the run.

Prayers on a speedy recovery for Ford, whose season is over almost as soon as it started.
