Penn State hockey star Gavin McKenna has landed himself in hot water.
The 18-year-old, who is the consensus No. 1 pick in this year's NHL Draft, was arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault.

If charged and found guilty, McKenna could face up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine, the maximum penalty for the crime in the state of Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred on January 31, the same day Penn State faced off against Michigan State at Beaver Stadium, where McKenna registered a goal and two assists in a losing effort.

Following the game, McKenna and the team reportedly headed to Downton State College with friends and family to enjoy the evening where the incident occurred.
