After the game, the Bruins' head coach ripped into the Big Ten Conference for scheduling 5 of UCLA's first 7 games on the road and playing Purdue on just two days rest.
He later added: "I don't think they care about basketball. Truly. That's just my opinion."Mick Cronin after UCLA's win over No. 4 Purdue:

"I want to thank the Big Ten for giving us 5 of our first 7 on the road, and giving us the team picked to win the league on two days' rest. I really wanna thank the Big Ten for that..." 😳pic.twitter.com/oDDgOuSORc
This isn't the first time Cronin has sounded off on the Big Ten's scheduling, as the Bruins are forced to travel from coast-to-coast since joining the league in 2024 from the Pac-12.

"Oh, a Big 10 team has to come to LA, where it's 70 degrees, once. You're asking me to feel sorry because Iowa had to come to LA for a few days? We've seen the Statue of Liberty twice in 3 weeks!" pic.twitter.com/NQgmenQvVY
